August

I can't believe that August has started. Where did the summer go? Just a few things that will make the start of the school year easier.
1. Bathroom - Please make sure that your child can take care of all their bathroom needs by themselves: undo and do up pants, wipe, wash hands, etc.
2. Shoes - It's a great help if your child can tie his or her own shoes.
3. Name - Your child will be asked numerous times during the day to write his/her name. Remember that a correctly written name is not in all capitals.
4. Backpacks - Each day your child should be bringing papers home. A good backpack is a great help. I know that there are a lot of cute backpacks out there. It is more important that it is easy to get into and will hold papers without them having to be folded up.

I'm looking forward to a great year. Our school theme is "Oh, the places we'll go!" Our class theme is "Oh, the things we can learn with the Cat in the Hat". Let's work together hard and learn a lot.
